Blog: Gain Ancient Powers with The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack

Another blog about The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack has been published. This time you will get to know more about gaining ancient powers. Read more below and make sure to check out the new video and screenshots as well.

With only a week left before The Sims 4 Vampires* Game Pack launches, we are so excited to dive a little deeper into one of the biggest game-changing parts of being a Vampire… Powers! This is a unique new Powers progression system, that gives Sims new Powers & Weaknesses that are new to The Sims 4! So, let’s take a look.

Exciting, right?! Your Vampire Sims will have great options to increase their Vampire Rank, including duelling, reading Vampire lore and being mentored by other Vampires. Increasing their Vampire Rank unlocks an assortment of unique supernatural Powers. Mutate into a bat to travel, control Sim’s minds, slip into the darkness, wield vampiric strength, and more! But take heed, with every up, comes a down. And as powers are unlocked, you must also choose weaknesses to maintain balance.

Thin skinned Vampires will find themselves with extra flammable skin, which can sure make going out into the sunlight difficult. Sims who don’t want to treat their friends as lunch can choose to drink from the Plasma fruit. Meanwhile, other Sims could suffer from uncontrollable hissing, which always makes for an awkward social situation…

Now, if you are fretting about having to pick between all of those awesome Powers – worry no longer. You can unlock almost all of the Powers and Weaknesses through research, experience, and duelling, even after you’ve reached the maximum Vampire Rank. But do you know which Power Points you’re going to take first?

The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack arrives on January 24

Finally! Are you ready for another game pack? Vampires are about to return to The Sims 4! The newest game pack for the game is called ‘Vampires’. Check out the press release below with new information, a video and several screenshots.

Live Forever with The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack!

Supernaturals have always been a great part of The Sims, adding even more unique storytelling opportunities along with darker, crazy fun. And that’s why we’re super excited to announce The Sims 4 Vampires* Game Pack, coming January 24th, 2017.

For The Sims 4, we really wanted to build out Vampires more than we’ve ever done before, and we think you’ll really enjoy them. They have their own special Vampire motives and needs, focused around gaining enough Plasma, Powers and sleep. Plasma is what Vampires drink, and it comes in a few different varieties. Your Sim can purchase Plasma Packs if they’re wanting a quick fix, or grow Plasma Fruit as a more long-term option. If you want to be a more traditional Vampire, you can also creep up on unsuspecting Sims while they sleep drain Plasma from them. Or just ask nicely, but where’s the fun in that?

Now, hold on, go back. Powers? Yup, Vampires have Powers! You’ll be able to use these to turn other Sims in to Vampires, and move around in different forms, and more. We’re going to talk about that in in the coming weeks, we promise. But for now we’ll just say that they add to your experience as a Vampire, gaining both powers and weaknesses which will affect your story and how you play your Vampire.

Vampires also can have two forms: regular and dark, and if you have both then your Sim will spin in to the Dark Form to perform Vampire actions. They’ve got their own creepy walk style too, that we think you’ll really love. Oh, and you probably shouldn’t leave them out in daylight either. After a little while they get a bit… flammable.

The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack is coming soon

This Game Pack also adds a bunch of totally new Create a Sim options! We’ve got glowing eyes and creepy eye sockets, new washed out skin tones suitable for Sims that literally never see daylight, and some really dramatic brow options to give your Vampire that sinister-ancient-being look. There’s more, don’t worry, but we know how much you love finding fun new stuff. Oh, and about those two forms. You’ll be able to fully customize both options, but if you’ve perfected an outfit and want it for both forms, we’ve got you covered with a handy little button to copy between them!

Wanting a whole family of Vampires? Sims can be born as a Vampire, but their powers won’t start until they age up in to Teenagers. You also won’t know until then if they got the Vampire genetics or not, as the Plumbob style won’t change until then too. At that point, they’ll also stop naturally aging up. Don’t worry, you can get the trusty Birthday Cake out and age them up that way if you want to, or they can just live forever and continue their legacy in Forgotten Hollow.

Did we mention Forgotten Hollow yet?

The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack is coming soon

Forgotten Hollow is the new World coming in the The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack. It’s completely different to previous The Sims 4 worlds, and makes a great place for a Vampire to live as night-time lasts long here. There’s one block, with five lots, all centered around a plaza area dedicated to Vlad, the founding Vampire of Forgotten Hollow. You’ll notice that this World looks and feels totally different to the others in The Sims 4, with creeping fog and a lot of withered, old foliage. We wanted this to feel like a centuries-old neighborhood with history and secrets, so there’s also some great Build & Buy Mode objects to help you create your perfect Vampire home. There’s also a lot trait that’ll encourage Vampires to stop by your Sim’s home more often. Don’t worry, Vampires aren’t unique to Forgotten Hollow and they will show up from time to time in other Worlds, just not as often.

The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack is coming soon

Of course, no Vampire home would be complete without the classic Vampire objects. Your Vampire Sim can spend their days avoiding daylight and playing the pipe organ, which has its own skill to level up. Oh, and one more little thing. There’s also new coffin beds, that your Vampire Sim can totally WooHoo in.

We’ll have even more information for you about this pack over the next two weeks, but we hope you’re as excited as we are! Come talk to us on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr & Instagram, and tell us what you’re looking forward to most using #TS4Vampires

Free Sims 4 toddlers content update available right now

Great news for today! Toddlers have arrived in The Sims 4! Probably the most requested addition of The Sims 4 is now available after updating The Sims 4. Together with toddlers, new furniture, accessoiries and Create A Sim materials for toddlers have been added to the game. And above all: it’s all free! Read more about this content update below.

The Biggest Little Update: Toddlers Are Now in The Sims 4!

Today is a big day for The Sims 4. We’re excited to announce the biggest update for The Sims 4 to date, and it comes in a surprisingly “little” package. Toddlers* are available as a free update for you to download into your game right now!

In the two years since we launched The Sims 4, we’ve heard from players on what they’d love to see added to the game. While we can’t always address these requests, we do take note of all of the feedback you’ve supplied, and what kind of experiences you are asking for. We know that the toddler life stage is an experience that many of you have consistently asked for, and it’s very important to us that as we do it in a way that makes sense for The Sims 4, and feels right for our players.

I’m not exaggerating when I say we’ve been talking about this particular update for years. We just had to find the right time, resources and design to allow us to start the heavy process of actually building and bringing Toddlers to life. And believe me when I say it has been really REALLY difficult to not talk about this as we worked to get it right.

Free toddlers update for The Sims 4

Toddlers is something that has been in the works for a while, and I am really proud of the work that the team has put in to creating these adorable little Sims. I think you’re really going to love how interactive they are, so get ready for a lot of cute, heart-warming moments as your Sims help their toddlers to develop new skills through using flash cards; teach them to talk; have a dance party; and encourage them to go potty. Your Sims can also bond with your toddler by reading them to sleep, carrying them around the house, or babbling away about trucks.

The Sims 4 base game has always provided a foundation upon which we’ve consistently grown and expanded, and we hope that Toddlers will help to capture those moments of growth and nurturing we’ve seen you share over the years – in addition to highlighting the special bonds between parents and toddlers as they grow. We’ve added over a hundred new animations, dozens of new interactions, and great new suites of outfits and objects. But most importantly, we’ve bridged a really meaningful part of your Sims’ lives.

I’ve been playing with toddlers myself (a little charmer who loves her tablet and taking naps on the floor) and I can’t wait to see what you do! This update is a result of hearing what you, the players, really want from The Sims 4 – so please keep sharing your feedback and screenshots with us on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr & Instagram!

Coming soon: The Sims 4 Pets?

We all know that many of us have been waiting for pets to arrive in The Sims 4. Still no official information has been released about a pets or animals expansion pack.

However, it is very likely that a pets-related pack will arrive within just a few months. Zerbu of Sims fansite Sims Community found codes in Sims 4 files containing hints for a future pets or animal pack. As the code shows, dogs and cats will be included. Later on Zerbu also found codes containing references to horses. The codes make a distinction between small dogs and large dogs as well. A more recent content update for The Sims 4 also contained new references for pets. Isn’t this exciting news?!

However, nothing has been confirmed by Electronic Arts or Maxis yet! We need to wait for official information regarding a pets or animals expansion pack.

Make sure to follow SimsReleases.com for future updates!

Blog: Meet Vlad: The First Vampire of Forgotten Hollow

We got a new blog for you about The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack. This blog introduces Vlad, a vampire that lives in Forgotten Hollow, the new world in this game pack.

With The Sims 4 Vampires* Game Pack coming on January 24th, we wanted to take a moment and introduce Vladislaus Straud, the founding Vampire of Forgotten Hollow. And as luck would have it, we managed to snag this entry straight out of his diary for you…

Dear Diary, it’s Vlad again.

It feels good to still write in you daily. After two centuries in Forgotten Hollow these entries help keep my memory fresh – and a vampire has to have sharp wits to live this long!

I woke up rather early today, around 4:30 pm. I’ve always been an early riser. I like to be up and out of the coffin early enough to watch those last awful rays of sunlight die over the mountains. I made quick work of a plasma pack to help satisfy my thirst, as an early breakfast.

By sunset I started on my daily routine, beginning with some haunting melodies on the pipe organ. I must say, I’ve gotten pretty good after all these years. As soon as those last pesky rays of sun had gone, I went out to walk the grounds of my estate. My mist form concealed me nicely as I drifted through the headstones in the cemetery. The fog rises quite nicely at night, and it further concealed my movements. This is my favorite time of night. The soft purple glow of the plasma fruit trees, the Sixam mosquito trap plants making a delightful crunch noise as they pick bugs out of the air. But then I heard all the nightlife picking up down in the town center, and realized I was feeling pretty thirsty again.

I headed down the hill to the town center a little after 8 pm. I’m no narcissist, but I really do love to gaze at my statue prominently displayed at the center of it all. The Sims in this town think the statue is the of my Great Grandfather, Vladislaus Straud the First. The local vampires know the truth though; I founded this town and I still run it. As I was sitting there admiring that handsome statue, I spotted what I was looking for: two oblivious Sims heading off towards the waterfall for a little late night stroll.

I quickly vanished into the mist and reappeared right by them, calling upon my dark powers to quickly mesmerize the gentleman, while compelling his friend to allow me a drink. There is nothing like FRESH plasma!

Alas, my pleasant meal was interrupted by those annoying Vatore siblings, Caleb and Lilith. They just showed up, dispelled my mesmerized Sims, and started lecturing me about alternatives options to the traditional methods of thirst quenching. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, they followed by starting in on my wardrobe choices, personal hygiene, and showing my dark form in public. I don’t know what they have against grey coats. I have a hundred of them, they go with everything and always stay in style. Trust me, I should know.

Anyway, I digress. The point is, they were ruining my night and it was time to put them in their place. We agreed to a showdown like the good old days. At high moon, we would meet in front of my estate for some not-so friendly vampire sparring. We clashed in the air and we clashed on the ground, and as predicted I was the victor every time. When Caleb had had enough he finally hung his head in shame and marched back down the hill to his home. If he wants to best me in one of my epic duels he better start carrying garlic.

At this time, it started getting early, and the sun was coming up, so I spent some time in dark meditation to re-energize myself and read through the last few chapters of the Encyclopedia Vampirica (which I highly recommend, as it’s very informative AND interesting). Not to mention, most of it is about me. As the sun rose, I descended into my crypt and found just enough time to finish this entry before I close the lid on this coffin and settle in for some deep undead rest.
